Initiated in 2023, the partnership between Qlik, a leader in data analytics, and the professional cycling team Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team continues into 2025, marking a new milestone in integrating analytical technologies into high-level sports. With the power of data, the team refines its strategies and optimizes its performance in real-time.
Sponsored by the Italian cycling apparel brand Q36.5, the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team is a Swiss cycling team competing at the UCI ProTeam level since its inception in 2023. Led by Douglas Ryder with advice from the legendary Vincenzo Nibali, winner of the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and Vuelta a España, the team consists of 25 riders from 15 different nationalities, including renowned cyclists Milan Vader, Matteo Moschetti, and Tom Pidcock, who recently joined Q36.5 as a leader, bringing with him rich experience and high ambitions for the upcoming seasons.
Before Qlik's arrival, the team relied on multiple fragmented information sources. Today, thanks to an application developed in collaboration with Differentia Consulting, they benefit from a unified platform that simplifies decision-making, whether it's race planning or post-race analysis.
Doug Ryder affirms:
"Qlik's technology has been a game-changer for us. Our vision is to climb the world rankings and win big races, and data is an integral part of that journey."
Strategic races in sight
While it will not participate in the Tour de France, the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team is preparing this year for iconic races such as the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, and the Giro d’Italia, where real-time information will be essential to maximize the performance of its riders.
The team will also be present next May at Qlik Connect, a flagship event bringing together Qlik clients and partners. It will be an opportunity for both partners to showcase how data shapes strategic decisions and influences sporting competitiveness.
Chris Powell, Chief Marketing Officer at Qlik, comments:
"The ongoing partnership between Qlik and Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team illustrates the transformative power of data. We have worked closely with the team, listening to their needs and providing insights that make a real difference on race day. This collaboration goes beyond data, helping Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team to think differently, making the right decisions at the right time to achieve their goals. We are excited to continue pushing boundaries together."
