On Saturday, April 26th, Epitech, a renowned computer science school, celebrated the graduation of its 2024 classat the Palais des Congrès. During a ceremony blending solemnity and festivity, 1,154 students were honored in front of more than 2,000 attendees.
The ceremony was sponsored by Isabelle Fraine, General Manager of Google Cloud France, illustrating Epitech's strategic position within the international technology ecosystem. This long-standing partnership aims to bridge academic training and market needs, notably through joint initiatives such as the GenAi Hackathon, Google Cloud Week, and events focusing on digital inclusion.
The top students of this class are:
- Grande École Program: Lia Perochaud
- Master of Science: Eliott Clavier and Clément Mathe
- Web@cademie by Epitech: Kezon Lacheteau
In her speech, Isabelle Fraine encouraged the new graduates to"turn AI into a lever for collective progress: not only by using it ethically and transparently, but also by ensuring everyone has access to it." adding "Create, test, explore, and don't be afraid of failure".
An Educational Model Suited to Market Demands
The ceremony was part of the larger graduation event for the IONIS group, which celebrated the success of 7,000 graduates from its 27 schools over three days.
Founded in 1999, Epitech has established itself as a major player in computer science education, focusing on project-based learning, student autonomy, and a collaborative approach. Today, the school hosts 6,500 students across 15 campuses in France and 5 internationally.
Its educational model is based on several pillars: extended immersion in companies (at least 18 months), a year abroad at one of the 120 partner universities, and practical projects from the early years of training. This allows students to develop advanced skills in software engineering, AI, and cybersecurity, and for many, to earn a dual degree awarded abroad.
Its network of 3,000 partner companies, including Google Cloud, enables it to anchor its programs in market reality and promote rapid and sustainable professional integration.
A Generation Reflecting the Epitech Model
The graduates of this class leave Epitech with recognized skills and an innovative spirit ingrained in their journey.
Concluding the ceremony, Laura Hassan, General Manager of Epitech, urged them:
"Beyond technical skills, your journey at Epitech has forged a mindset of resilience, adaptability, and creativity. (...) Be ambitious, demanding, passionate".
